What Do You Have Left?

Dear Friend, Today in class I watched a video of Steve Jobs giving a speech at a Stanford graduation ceremony. The ironic thing is Steve Jobs, dropped out of college in his early twenties, yet years later found himself leading the technology world, and giving speeches to college grads. What I took most from his speech is his drive to follow his passion. No matter how rough it got, or how much he seemed like a failure for dropping out of school and living on his friends floors, he kept on pursuing what his heart's desires. In his speech to these Stanford graduates he stated, "you are already naked, there's no reason not to follow your heart". By this he means, we don't have anything to lose. Jobs described how as humans we live, and we all meet the inevitable...death. Thus why not live as if it's your last? That's a good question. Why do we settle for what we don't want, in a life that only lasts so long? Why don't we follow our heart, even when all the odds seem stacked against us? Technically, the odds will always be stacked against you. There are people who don't want you to succeed, then there's the personal fear you allow to rest in your heart.We fear this life coming to an end, yet we don't enjoy the journey while we are on it. My question for you my friend, is what do you have left? ~Lady

Hello, how are you? Yes, I know that it has been tough these last few months of the year. With so much to complete before the start of a new year, the pressure is up...and unlike all of the times before it feels like it's up ten times higher, am I right ? Well, that's because it is higher. Imagine change as a bomb exploding. When the bomb explodes, the entire area reaches it's peak overpressure...causing a shockwave to be released, thus whatever structure or person around to feel the "force", behind that impact. In other words, the change that is heading towards you is building pressure in your life, ready to blast everything that once existed, away. Trust me, this is not going to be an easy feat for you to endure, but the newness that will result in it all, will be worth every bit of trouble. Let your pressure push you towards a higher future.

Guilty Pleasure

So I was talking to a friend the other day about some of the stunts men pull to get with women. It's funny how some things that make no sense at all are seen as actual tools to attract the opposite sex. Anyway, the discussion led us to question one senseless tactic...why do men pull the "guilt" move? Okay so let me explain. This is when I am speaking to you and try my best to play on your sympathies for me. It's sort of how one of those info commercials about saving the world play on our universal human emotions causing us to dig deep into our bank accounts. Well, this is the same tactic however it involves "sex" and us as women digging into our...you know. So, tell me how if a desperate man hasn't been with a woman in a long time, he will desperately throw that out there. At this point I'm not even sure to view him as a "man", but more as an alien from another planet who lacks communication skills with our species. Now this "alien", will state his position (or lack there of), as if somehow you can change this. Somehow by you being with him, it will move the cosmos of our planets, throwing him back into the game. Well I'm not sure how many of you watch Yu-Gi-Oh, but if you watch it then you will see that once an opposite character gains points, you of course lose yours!!! Meanwhile, you are trying to figure out how his need is any of your problem? How can you guilt trip a woman into feeling that she should be with you, because basically you haven't found anyone who wants you? This must be tactics that only work when you as a female are having one of those low days. You know...you woke up and didn't feel pretty (or human for that matter). Last time I checked sex and relationships aren't sympathetic. Officially there is a new meaning to the term "guilty pleasure". Muah!!!
